UVa’s Remarkable Black Graduation (AND Non-Graduation) Rate

Every year University of Virginia administrators boast (literally) that UVa has the highest black graduation rate of any public university in the country. What they and no one ever seems to mention is that, in all of these years, blacks fail to graduate from UVa in four or six years at twice the rate of whites and Asians.

Well, almost no one. I have a new essay with some newly released SAT data today on Minding the Campus, “New Data On Black Mismatch And Failure At UVa.”

I’ve also posted on this issue in the past. See: “Drastic Racial Statistics From UVa,” “Graduation Rate Gap: Is The Glass Full, Or Half Empty?” and “The Dark Side Of UVa’s Bright Racial Data.”

Say What?
