Cathy Young has a good column today on the Michigan Civil Rights Initiative (MCRI). She makes many of the points that you’ve read here (that, you will have figured out, is why it’s a good column), but I particularly liked this one:
In other circumstances, [Jennifer] Gratz — a woman who experienced discrimination and fought back — would have been hailed as a feminist hero. Instead, some denounced her as a racist.
