No Diversity In Diversity’s Back Yard

Somehow a policy of national proportions to force poor people and minorities out of their communities has not yet attracted the protests of Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, and those Democrats who usually place the welfare of minorities and the poor at the top of their agenda. I wonder (along with Thomas Sowell, who has exposed this shameless forced exclusion) if that could be because the communities doing this are hotbeds of Democratic liberalism?

Some examples: From 1990 to 2000,

  • the number of blacks in San Francisco declined from over 79,000 to under 61,000 as the overall population was increasing over 50,000;
  • In San Mateo County, blacks declined from 35,000 to 25,000 as the overall population increased 50,000;
  • Same pattern in Monterey and Los Altos Hills
  • Similarly, the number of children in San Francisco and expensive liberal suburbs declined during these years, because young families could not afford housing

Read Sowell to find out what’s behind this policy of forced exclusion.
