Just when the anniversary lamentations over last August’s alt-right invasion began to die down, you probably thought you didn’t have to read any more about Charlottesville for at least another year.
Wrong! You do. Please see my just-published piece at the James G. Martin Center, “The University of Virginia in an Uproar Again—Over a Single Faculty Hire.”
Mr. Rosenberg,
Regardless of political beliefs, those denouncing Mr. Short are no different than the haters who protested in Charlottesville last August.
Hate is hate.
I think it’s a grand idea for bloggers like yourself to write about positive activities in your native town.
I am a Charlottesville native. I am offended by anyone who writes about and perpetuates hate. Especially, someone claiming to be a native of the town I love and live in.
There is more love happening in Charlottesville than hate.
Here’s a question for you.. Would you write about positive Charlottesville happenings regardless of the professional or egoic impact ? The only right answer is, ego and professional status never matter to those who matter.
I will pray for you.
