Yale has a new “inaugural deputy dean for diversity and faculty development.” Kathryn Lofton, the new deputy dean, defines one of her tasks as designing searches that can “draw in the most diverse and innovative candidates.”
I have some questions for her on National Review Online’s Phi Beta Cons, such as: how should Yale determine which candidates are the “most diverse”?
