Obama Should Listen To … Obama

Scolding Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta for that country’s treatment of homosexuals, President Obama waxed rhetorical:

“When you start treating people differently, not because of any harm they’re doing anybody but because they are different, that’s the path whereby freedoms begin to erode, and bad things happen,” Obama said at a joint press conference with the Kenyan leader in Nairobi. “And bad things happen.”

“”And when a government gets in a habit of people treating people differently, those habits can spread,” Obama continued. “As an African-American, I am painfully aware of what happens when people are treated differently under the law.”

Perhaps someone should tell the president that his own government, with his own unwavering support, has long been ‘in the habit of treating people differently” — “not because of any harm they’re doing” but simply because of the color of their skin.

Say What?
