Obama Trying, But Failing, To Sound Presidential

Obama on MSNBC (where else?) this morning, trying to make sounds like a president:

“Ultimately, as commander-in-chief, I’m responsible, and I don’t shy away from that responsibility. My number one responsibility is to go after the folks who did this, and we’re going to make sure we get them,” Obama said.

No, the president’s “number one responsibility” was to to make sure his representatives abroad had all the security they needed.

Failing that, his number two responsibility was to send more security assistance immediately when it was requested.

Failing that, his third responsibility was to send military assistance as soon as the attack on the consulate began, when it was requested. When our current president went to bed on the night of September 11, resting up for his fundraiser in Las Vegas the next day, Tyrone Woods was alive and firing his machine gun at the attackers, and illuminating them with a laser that would have allowed the requested and available gun ships to identify and destroy those firing mortars. When the president woke up, Tyrone Woods was dead.

Having failed all three responsibilities, yes, it would be nice for the president to “get the folks who did this,” in the same way that, yes, closing the barn door after the horses have fled is a good idea.

Will the Benghazi “incident” be enough to sink Obama’s re-election? Anyone who votes for him now is seriously dysfunctional.

I proudly voted along with the majority of those voting on Tuesday, for the second term of President Barack Hussein Obama.

    Deal with it.
