You Can’t Make This Stuff Up…

There is no better evidence of how hopelessly divided we are than two politicians saying everyone should pay his fair share of taxes and it’s unfair when half the people pay no income tax … and the politicians are in different parties, each calling the other the enemy of fairness. Wait, there’s more: the party that proudly produced an ad demonstrating its commitment to cradle-to-grave support for thankful, dependent Julia, the party that thinks angry and frustrated people vote against their own self-interest and instead bitterly cling to guns, God, and xenophobia — that thinks, in short, that not voting for your economic self-interest is (“literally,” as Joe Biden would say) crazy — is the same party that regards as “shocking” the suggestion that voters vote for their own self-interest by supporting the party that gives them the most benefits.

And my local cable provider, Time-Warner (et al.) “unexpectedly” informed me that CSPAN 1
(House-CSPAN2:Senate is “extra”)is among the few channels
that will soon need a “special” decoder, even for “cable ready, flat screen, blah blah blah” and eventually, will be an “extra” fee service from my current bare bones “package”.

I THINK I can still get one, maybe t, “broadcast” wireless TV stations if I buy the special analog “decoder”, but I haven’t seen one of those at Mall-Wart in AGES.

Why are they FORCING me toward (ahem)”Public” radio, or other “accessable”MSM (you know, “properly” reviewed, edited, and interpreted FOR me)?

No explanation beyond greed. There is no nefarious plot involved. It is the same greed that took TCM from an included channel to a premium channel.
