Energy Diet: Is Obama Channeling Jimmy Carter?
Obama, in Oregon, on energy:
“We can’t drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times ... and then just expect that other countries are going to say OK,” Obama said.So, vote for Obama and eat less, drive less.“That’s not leadership. That’s not going to happen,” he added.
Gives a whole new meaning to going on an energy diet.

the other nations don't have to say okay. and we don't have to say okay to them.
that is such a typical remark of liberals. what does it really mean anyway, except that we should all voluntarily reduce our living standard or else - they'll get us. Let them try.
Often I have been with people, nice white people, liberal, kind, well meaning, and they say that americans are greedy, and I look at their house, they have so much more than they "need", more room, more clothes, more cars, more vacations. which is okay. but how come they are not also greedy like every one else.I look at "poor" black relatives of mine who complain about the selfishness of america, and spend thousands of dollars on big screen tvs or cruises and clothes and whatever they want. which is fine. but then they turn around and say how someone should give them something for nothing.

Hugh Hewitt had a field day with this, noting that Obama left that gathering in an SUV, which he describes as his favorite type of vehicle.
