Another “Underrepresented” Group At Berkeley: Americans

From today’s San Jose Mercury News:

A groundbreaking study of undergraduate students at the University of California-Berkeley found that 63 percent either were born outside the United States or have at least one foreign-born parent.

According to the study, immigrants or children of immigrants make up a far larger portion of the population at the prestigious UC campus than the general population in California, where they represent 48 percent of residents.

    It’s not really clear from the article how many students aren’t Americans. They could all be citizens.

    Nels – You’re absolutely right. It is indeed possible that they all could be citizens. I was trying a little too hard to be cute
