I have added an ADDENDUM to my post below criticizing the attempt of Senator Harry Reid and 40 other Democratic senators to have Clear Channel Communications repudiate Rush Limbaugh — for comments he didn’t make.
The ADDENDUM consists of an extended email exchange I had with a good friend who is a close associate of one of the Democratic senators who signed the letter.
your friend’s comments sum up everything I don’t like about liberals. The view of the US – as if we have to make people like us. In fact, it is not possible for the rich and powerful to be liked. Nothing except our failure will make us likable. But people still come here and if they could 90% of the third world would be here. That says enough about our likability.
Health care crisis – some people do not have insurance, but they still get treatment. Health care costs alot. That is not a crisis. Health care is a “crisis” everywhere by liberal definition. There is never enough of it at the price people want it, which is zero. I recently saw something about dentistry in England, six months waiting for an appointment.
and on and on. The US must be made perfect or else.
