UPDATE

Now that I have had time to read the College Board report that offers some (bad) strategic advice to colleges on how to defeat upcoming state initiatives that, like the one in Michigan, would ban racial preferences, I have added some additional comments to my post below, and also added some better ones by Roger Clegg.

    Hello John,

I don’t comment any more, mostly because you seem not to want to publish my comments. That’s OK. I don’t have anything new to say on the subject matter that you so ably cover.

I have noticed that you are diligently avoiding the Duke lacrosse rape hoax. Admittedly, KC Johnson is doing a bangup job covering this issue, leaving little room for others.

However, the hoax contains some elements that fill in the blanks in the maze of the racial and sexual quota system. The Duke hoax reveals the naked self-interest of the faculties of women’s studies, black studies and queer studies, and how this self interest leads these groups to concoct phony hysterias.

So, while it may not be germane to your blog, I’d still interested in hearing what you have to say about the Duke hoax.

I’m interested in publishing any comments that contribute to the discussion here, that are not unduly ad hominem, etc. And you’re right: KC Johnson does such a good job on Duke that I don’t really have anything to add. I strongly encourage readers to read his blog:
