There’s been an increase in spam lately. So far the wonderful new Movable Type 3.2 spam catcher has been catching it all (and catching nothing else), but as an added precaution I have just turned on “automatic publishing for authenticated commenters.” (When/if spam actually makes it onto the site, it open the gates for a flood of continuing spam.)
This means that if you register with TypeKey your comments will be posted immediately. If you don’t register, your comments will still be posted, but not until I’ve looked at them and confirmed that they’re not spam. Most of the time the delay will not be very long, but from time to time I have been known to untether myself from my computer for (gasp!) hours at at time. On those occasions there will be a delay in your comments appearing unless you’ve registered with TypeKey.
