I recently criticized (here) the argument of Khaled Beydoun, of the Michigan ACLU, that the Michigan Civil Rights Initiative would hurt Arabs. Beydoun and friend would presumably be cheered by the following news:
… the government has initiated a policy of constructive discrimination which will aim to recruit Arabs and members of other ethnic minorities to government ministries and the civil service.
Well, at least they’d be pleased if they were in Israel, where this policy has just been approved.
