According to Dennis Archer, former mayor of Detroit,
We don’t need Ward Connerly coming in here and telling us how we need to vote on affirmative action. We understand how to deal with that. That needs to be defeated if it ever gets on the ballot.
What Archer apparently means is, people in Michigan don’t need Ward Connerly to come here to tell them how to vote on affirmative action … because I’m already here telling them how to vote.
