Now that minorities are a majority in four states (and growing elsewhere), programs to benefit minorities often include women (who are not in a minority), and some analysts are arguing that “minority” no longer means, well, minority, but rather now means “a disadvantaged group of citizens,” it is becoming increasingly unclear what we’re talking about when we talk about minorities.
