Colbert King On Colorblindness: Yes, And No

I have had all too many occasions to write about Colbert King, the deputy editorial page editor of the Washington Post (such as here, here, here, and here. Today’s column provides another.

King, it appears, favors colorblindness … when looking for terrorists. That is, he opposes

the practice of using ethnicity, national origin and religion as primary factors in deciding whom police should regard as possible terrorists — in other words, racial profiling.

Alas, he seems to favor racial profiling when colleges look for students, when employers look for employees and even, as here, when presidential candidates hire their staffs. And just about everywhere else.

Say What?
