A Purge Of Republicans At Virginia State University?

Yes, Virginia, there are some black Republicans. But there are now many fewer of them at the historically black Virginia State University than there used to be. Under the “leadership” of president Eddie Moore, a CPA with no prior academic experience (he “is so proud of his combined SAT score of 920 that he put it on his automobile license tags”), Republicans and foreign scholars appear to have been systematically purged.

If even a fraction of the charges in this article are true, it is a scandal of major proportions that VSU is not regarded as a scandal of major proportions. (Hat Tip to Dave Huber)

One of the worst manifestations of racism in the segregationist (and earlier) South is that black on black crime was not taken very seriously. Walter Williams, for one, thinks something similar may be at work regarding VSU. He is quoted here observing:

“Wouldn’t Virginia’s Governor’s office and Office of the Attorney General, the Virginia Council of Higher Education and the commonwealth’s House of Delegates know what’s going on at Virginia State University?”

And he answers it: “I guarantee that they all do, but they’re timid and fearful of being labeled as racists if they take correction action. It might be worse than that. It could be that they hold a racist double standard, whereby predominantly black universities, their administrators and their faculty are exempted from the academic standards of conduct and decency to which predominantly white universities are held.”

Hey, if those dummies aren’t smart enough to know which side their bread is buttered on and choose not to get with the program, well, what can one do? Whites have always turned a blind eye to black on black crime, so why not take advantage of it? In getting power for blacks some heads are going to get broken. Put them in the same box with the whites whose places are taken by AA-assisted blacks (and forget them). Cobra, Actus and their ilk cannot concern themselves with these stupid Republicans and their self-inflicted wounds. Not caring at all about this appalling situation is perfectly comfortable for secular, principle-bending-for-a-good-result-right-now liberals. Right guys?

Proud of 920? Well, you never know… he could have brought it up from 400. I’d be proud of such an increase in score.
