Kerry Turns Black

One of the reasons many black leaders have been cool toward Kerry is a domestic flip from which he subsequently flopped: his well-known assertion at Yale in 1992 that affirmative action is “an “inherently limited and divisive program” that “kept Americans thinking in racial terms.”

Now Kerry is doing everything he can to insure that black voters will continue to think in racial terms. Hence his recent (paid) embrace of Jesse Jackson, interview on BET, black “religious summit” in Philadelphia, constant railing against the non-existent effort to suppress black votes, etc.

Say What?
