Burkett: What Did He Risk, And How Did He Risk It?

At the end of what was otherwise something of a puff piece on Bill Burkett, the Texas Democrat who is widely rumored/reported (there’s a difference?) to have provided the Bush guard memos to CBS, Burkett is quoted as having said the folllowing on Aug. 31:

Many of us have risked everything on this election.

What exactly did he risk, and how did he risk it?

I chuckled when I saw that also. What a laugh, watching CBS immediately dismiss the SBVT veterans because they support Bush and then watching this story unfold with a serial Bush hater and town character like Burkett revealed as the “unimpeachable” source. The icing on the cake is DRathers vicious denunciation of the “partisan political forces” that exposed his pet forgery. tee hee

Dan (the BS in CBS) Rather has ended his “principled” career in a deliciously ironic fashion. Relief is just a window away, Dan. Karma rules!

(Sorry folks, but I have despised his hypocrisies for so long, he brings out the evil in me.)

Maybe now America will realize the false, and ill responsible journalism taking place effecting all of us.

It puts lives in harms way, pits american against american, spends way too much time and money, and unfortunately sends the message to the average viewer of “what can I really believe”.
