Whose One America?

I second JustOneMinute‘s enthusiasm for Barack Obama’s keynote address to the Dems. If more Democrats sounded like this there would be fewer Republicans, and less need of them.

UPDATE

While I’m being nice to Democrats, let me encourage you to visit Dean Esmay and take the pledge he invites and that I endorse. (But Dean, since the issue I care most about is on this side of the water’s edge, does that mean I get to indulge in name calling?)

The man is a socialist and gun-grabber.

What else would you expect from the Peoples’ Republic of IL?

Go read the comments on LaShawn Barber’s blog.

I’m not disputing that here. All I’m saying is that this socialist and gun grabber (if that’s what he is) gave a damn fine speech.

Barak Osama may talk a great game, but I doubt that he can back it up. When he gets into office he will be just another corrupt politician with his hand in the till. Count on it.

Thanks, Sandy. John, I didn’t hear Obama’s speech, but something tells me I would’ve been very impressed with it. In a way, I’m glad I didn’t hear it or watch him. I read and commented on it without his voice ringing in my head. If I’d heard the speech, I think his presentation would’ve influenced my opinion somewhat.

LGF – caution note for those who get the vapors easily, has a link to the truth of Barak Obama, or something like that.

I didn’t watch the speech, he’s going to be elected.

The pledge reminded me of a comedienne I saw on TV last year… She likened the Bush bashing to someone talking bad about your brother or sister… You may think your brother is a complete idiot… You may even tell him so… But when the neighbor starts talking bad about your brother, you make it clear that you’re not gonna stand for it… And you certainly don’t tell your neighbors what an idiot brother you have…

The same holds true for presidents… If Kerry gets elected, I’ll be pissed off, but I’m not gonna bitch to the French about it…

    Just a thought…

    Zach-

This hits the nail on the head as to why I find this disagreement so unsettling. I haven’t been able to put my finger on it until now.

Hitler was a good orator too but I wouldn’t vote for him either.
