A Sad Commentary On The Legacy Of Brown

If this high powered symposium on the meaning and legacy of Brown at Harvard Law School is any indication, that epochal Supreme Court decision outlawing racial segregation in the schools has become little more than a litmus test that reveals competing political preferences. The two page discussion of the symposium mentioned multiculturalism, instrumental efficiency, same sex marriage, integration, bi-lingual education, economic disparities, and other issues. There was, however, no mention of discrimination on the basis of race.
