The Pot Calls The Kettle [Diverse]

Nan Aron, head of the Alliance for Justice, says “this administration puts ideology above all other factors in picking judicial nominees – ideology trumps the most basic factor, legal competence.” (Link via Howard Bashman) “Buzzflash,” her interviewer, who thinks that since “first stealing his office” President Bush has been “hijacking the judiciary” by appointing “ultra-conservative judges to implement the right-wing agenda,” was not heard to disagree.

That’s funny. I would have thought Nan Aron would agree with Sen. Schumer that judges should be chosen, or not, on the basis of their ideology.

If ideology shouldn’t be used to select a judicial nominee, then it shouldn’t be used to eliminate one either.

I guess it is only Leftist ideology that should be used to select a judicial nominee. Why should we care what Nan Aron thinks? She is just a leftist ideologue who is pushing her own agenda. Obviously she has a right to her opinion, but you would think that someone with all here credentials could at least make a logical and cogent argument. Instead, she persists in either distorting the positions of the judges or simply lying about them.
