Civil Rights May Yet Live … In Colorado

In a sharply critical response to Grutter, Colorado governor Bill Owens stated last week that he would welcome a law barring race from playing a role in admissions to state colleges. The Claremont Institute now reports that two Republican state senators have announced that they will submit such legislation in the next session.

It is beginning to appear that one of Grutter‘s accomplishments (?) is making sure that bitterly divisive racial issues will stay on the front burner and continue to boil.
