Great One-Liner From Colin Powell

I had Fox News on in the background late this afternoon ("Fair and balanced, as always") and heard discussion of a great one-liner from Colin Powell. He was approached walking down some hall by an Iraqi journalist who asked him to comment on the fact that only 15% of American young people even know where Iraq is. Powell fired right back without breaking stride, "Unlucky for you, they're all in the Marines."

Say What?

That was a doonsbury cartoon from last December....

Eric

Great cartoon. Powell obviously saw it and remembered it. More power to him. (If it were I, I would be prouder of myself for remembering something from last December than thinking up a good one on the spot.)

A commenter to a post on this episode at Sgt. Stryker also saw the Fox News report of Powell's comment and jotted it down, planning to blog it later.

Powell is a good man I wouldn't mess with him if i was you He has never done anthing to anyone, or never hurt or harmed anyone.
