Michigan And Rice Redux

Erin O'Connor has an interesting discussion today of an article in the Michigan Daily by former Michigan president James Duderstadt. He discusses the subtle ways a diverse class can be built without overtly rewarding race.

Along the way, O'Connor also discusses a December 2002 article in the New York Times that describes similar methods already in use at Rice. I had a somewhat less charitable take on that article here.
