Roger Clegg had a typically astute essay on National Review Online arguing that diversity is like love: it’s nice, but you can’t force it. You’ve probably already seen it, but if not it’s worth reading, as is everything he writes.
Along the way, he also makes a compelling argument why the Supremes should go whole hog and rule that the desire for diversity cannot justify racial discrimination, and not choose the cop-out course chosen by President Bush of concluding merely that Michigan’s policies must go because they are not “narrowly tailored.”
Excellent site, I am adding you to my blog list! (within the week…am going through some minor changes/burps)
