Well, Andrew, I confess that I don’t recall all of your comments verbatim, but I don’t recall your saying anything that suggests you lose because the Repubs dumped Lott. But if you think so, it’s nice of you to be gracious about it. I will certainly confess to feeling an enormous sense of relief.

I lose because
(1) I predicted Lott would (a) hang in to the caucus vote and (b) win same. [Oh-for-two]
(2) Now my Democratic Party will have to come up with an appealing platform and good ideas instead of running legitimately against a party that would have condoned white supremacism. The latter is much easier than the former.
Oh, and I thought the Redskins [a/k/a Indigenous Persons] were playoff material.
