Clinton: The Democrats Have The “Establishment Press”

Interesting admission in Bill Clinton’s recent speech to the DLC:

The Republicans “have an increasingly right-wing and bellicose conservative press,” he said. “And we have an increasingly docile establishment press.”

BC may be the only person who finds Raines “docile.”

The same article quotes Hillary Clinton:

“If people followed the ideas that he [President Clinton] worked on, and a lot of us worked on, for more than 20 years, we would have done a much better job” in the recent elections, she told the local public radio station in New York.

Query: is this criticizing the Democrats for moving left, or moving right, or ….?

I think it’s critcizing them for not kowtowing sufficiently to the Clintons.

Does it make you uncomfortable if something cannot be labeled left or right?

    Query: Why?

Sam – Hillary’s comment left me confused, not uncomfortable. I know neither who “the people” are who didn’t follow “the ideas” — the voters? the Democratic leaders? — nor do I know which “ideas” they should have followed. Perhaps you know what she meant. Perhaps she does.
