From an article in the Colorado State Rocky Mountain Collegian today:
Irene Vernon, director of the Center for Applied Studies in American Ethnicity at CSU, believes diversity is a necessary part of a university experience.
“I really think the best education comes from a diverse atmosphere,” said Vernon, herself a product of affirmative action at University of California at Berkeley. “I think we do a disservice if we are teaching all the same people all the same things.”
But teaching all the same things to diverse people, now that’s another matter.
